This study examines the correlation between Islamic learning environments and the development of children's multiple intelligences based on Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review method, this study analyzed various academic sources that discuss Islamic educational environments and their influence on children's cognitive, social, and emotional aspects. The results of the study indicate that Islamic learning environments that emphasize the principles of tauhid, tarbiyah, adab, ta'lim, and fitrah are able to create a conducive atmosphere to optimize various intelligences, including linguistic, logical-mathematical, visual-spatial, musical, kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic. Educational approaches such as memorizing the Qur'an, discussion-based learning, and integrating science and Islam have proven effective in increasing children's intelligence potential. In addition, the application of adab in social interactions and the formation of Islamic character contribute to increasing interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence. In the era of globalization and digitalization, the challenge of maintaining a balance between tradition and modernity is important. Therefore, this study highlights the urgency of utilizing technology that remains in line with Islamic values to enrich the learning experience. The implications of this study provide insight for educators, parents, and policy makers in designing a holistic educational environment, not only academically oriented, but also forming Islamic character and improving children's intelligence as a whole.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 INJIES: Journal of Islamic Education Studieshttps://injies.unimika.ac.id/index.php/injies/article/view/22An Analysis of Hasan Hanafi's Tafsir Method: Hermeneutics as An Interpretative Approach2025-06-02T16:46:31+00:00Endang Hidayatidinaputrisari1400@gmail.comBahriyan Ar-Rasyid Hutagaoldinaputrisari1400@gmail.com
The analysis discusses Hasan Hanafi's tafsir method based on hermeneutics as a contextual approach to understanding the Qur'an. Hasan Hanafi, an Egyptian philosopher and theologian, proposes the method al-Manhaj Al-Ijtima'i fi At-Tafsir, which emphasizes the importance of linking the sacred text to contemporary socio-political realities. Hermeneutics is used as a tool to uncover the meaning of the Qur'an contextually, going beyond literal textual understanding, so that interpretation becomes an expression of the interpreter's social commitment to human problems. Hanafi's perspective rejects traditional tafsir that focuses solely on linguistic analysis and authoritative narratives, instead prioritizing interpretation responsive to the dynamic needs of the Muslim community today. The proposed method involves systematic steps, starting from formulating social commitments, inventorying and classifying verses, to connecting the text with empirical realities to produce transformative and applicable interpretations. This study illustrates the relevance of Hasan Hanafi's hermeneutical approach in supporting Qur'anic understanding that adapts to changing times and social needs of the community.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 INJIES: Journal of Islamic Education Studies
